Within my artistic projects, I pursue a conceptual approach to photography.

Two themes are essential here: On the one hand, I develop intermedial, photography-based artistic research projects that deal with the uses of smartphone photography in the context of the Internet and social media. The question how the medium of photography is constantly developing in the course between man and machine is a main topic of this work.

At the same time, I continue to devote myself to classic serial photographic projects. Here I am particularly interested in questions of representation and perception of space in the image, of the image in space.

I am continuously expanding my repertoire and increasingly contrasting the photographic two-dimensional aspect with spatial installations and photographic objects.
